Dear valued INLA member,
I hope you are enjoying the excitement of the busy season in a “more normal” year, even as we continue to battle challenges still facing us due to the lingering effects of the pandemic. We should be proud to be part of an industry that continues to impact the quality of life in the Midwest by promoting health and wellbeing, safety, and security with all we do. Keep up the good work!
Your dedicated Board of Directors and association administrator, Joan O’Brien, continue to work hard to make the INLA a great organization. The investment you make in membership enrollment is even more profitable if you reap the benefits by becoming actively involved in the association. Please see that we have made making your annual payment easier this year with an electronic payment option.
Please take note of the upcoming opportunities in 2021/2022:
INLA Day of Service Our annual event is back in 2021 and is planned for the Indian Creek Nature Center in Cedar Rapids. This is always a day to remember! Join us for a fun and rewarding day with opportunities to connect with potential employees and give of your time and expertise. More information to come soon!
ICNP On-Line Training Modules These are free to any member for use and practice for the ICNP testing. This is also a great resource for training new employees.
INLA Tradeshow This event will be held along with the ISU Shade Tree Short Course February 22-24, 2022 in Ames. Information will be available later this Fall.
INLA scholarships Fundraising efforts go toward scholarships awarded each year to students pursuing degrees in Horticulture at Iowa community colleges and Iowa State University.
As members of the green industry, we take great pleasure in watching things grow. I am pleased how YOUR association is renewing its commitment to moving our industry forward, and we need your help to do that. The Board would love to hear from you if you have suggestions for additional training, programs, or member benefits we could offer!
Please contact myself, or Joan at the office, if you have any questions or would like to get more involved in the association.
Thank you for your continued support! I look forward to seeing you at an INLA event in the coming year.
Serving Your INLA,
