New: XCEED Conference an Xceptional Success
What an exciting day it was here at Xavier as we hosted our 2022 Xavier Catholic Extraordinary Encounter Day (XCEED) Conference (held every other year)! We would like to thank all of our guest speakers who inspired and challenged our Saints in their various Impact Sessions. These sessions were all aimed at helping our students further enrich their relationship with God and deepen their Catholic faith. Topics included mental health, social responsibility, respect for life, art, music, fitness, current events/politics, and more. Thank you to Mrs. Jody Esker and Mrs. Jaclyn Richmond for all their work to make this day happen!

We also thank our two keynote speakers, Paul J. Kim and Joshua Broome, for delivering powerful messages about actively seeking Christ, the redeeming power of God’s love, and what we can do to make a real and positive impact on others. We will share the audio from both speakers on our website (XavierSaints.org/XCEED) soon.

PARENTS: We strongly encourage you to ask your student about their experience today. Who did they listen to? Was there anything in particular that moved or inspired them? Was there anything that broadened their worldview and/or they learned about themselves, the world around them, or their relationship with God?
New: Transportation Reimbursement
First semester non-public transportation reimbursement forms for the area school districts are due December 1st. Click the district in which you live to find the form you need to submit. Remember Cedar Rapids school district forms need to be turned into the Xavier main office. Contact Christine or Karen at info@xaviersaints.org if you have any questions.

Reminder: Key Club
Key Club is an international organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership by serving children and our communities. Senior members set a goal of 10 service hours and freshmen, sophomores, and juniors set a goal for 8 service hours through our events.

A parent or guardian may sign up each student for Key Club by paying the $15 dues here: https://xavierhs.8to18.com/accounts/login. The deadline to sign up for Key Club is September 30th.

Any questions about Key Club may be directed to the Key Club Moderator, Mrs. Gina Kutilek at gina.kutilek@xaviersaints.org
Reminder: Progress Reports
We value the academic success of all of our students here at Xavier as well as the success of all of our activities. As a means of maintaining consistency and keeping up with academics, we will begin to run progress report grading the first Monday of each month (10/3). A reminder that those kids who receive an "F" on the progress report will be academically ineligible for 7 calendar days starting on the first Wednesday of the month (10/5) through the following Tuesday (10/11). Make sure to work with your kids and have your kids work with their teacher to get assistance in their academics. Kids should also communicate with their coaches and moderators if they miss practice in order to receive academic assistance.
