THE TORCH: News & Updates

September 23| 2022

Jumma Mubarak, Shabbat Shalom, Happy Friday (and go Irish/Colts?!)

Perhaps you're thinking, "should I spam folder this TORCH business?!" since we suddenly seem to have come to life. Your editor assures you that this frequency is not a regular thing; we didn't plan so much to happen with the start of Fall.

See below on news from our partners at St. Margaret's House, Religions for Peace USA, the City of South Bend and Notre Dame. And there's the annual CROP Walk and other updates. Give it a glance!

To our Jewish Community friends, Happy New Year and a blessed Rosh Hashanah to all (with my apologies for the going out the 'door' so close to the start of the Sabbath!)

Happy Friday!

St. Margaret's House in South Bend is an amazing organization and frequent partner with URC, and I encourage you to consider attending their 'story telling' fundraiser on Thursday, Sept 29, at IUSB.  Their organization provided vital services to the women and children with whom they work all through the pandemic, and URC proudly worked with staff to help a few of their guests to stay or become safely housed during some of the hardest times of COVID.
