Global data privacy legislation has steadily advanced over the past several years. As other nations continue to enact comprehensive laws, the United States may soon follow.
DATA PRIVACY LAWS: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IN 2021
Data privacy laws regulate how information is collected, how data subjects are informed, and what control a data subject has over their information. Failure to follow applicable data privacy may lead to fines, lawsuits, and even prohibition of a site's use in certain jurisdictions.
