This week’s topic is AssureSign. There is an exciting announcement included that was introduced in the April Lunch & Learn. Read on to catch all of the valuable information:

AssureSign

Security Documents Required For All Parties Signing:
Electronic Communication Agreement signed and dated
Privacy Notice with a time stamp

  • These documents are located on BetterLife's Agent Resources. These security documents must be presented to who is signing at the time that the application and other miscellaneous documents are being completed. This could be for the Insured, Owner and Payor when applicable. New Business must receive these documents at the initial submission of an application.

  • Not submitting these security documents to New Business with an application could hold up processing the application, as well as Underwriting.

  • At this time, AssureSign and the E-App are the only electronic signatures we allow.

  • New Business should receive the documents in a PDF format. Please do not forward the “View Document” email that you receive from AssureSign after completion. We need the documents downloaded first and then sent to the New Business email.

  • If an application is completed by hand signing and the delivery documents are completed via AssureSign, remember to submit the security documents (listed above).

Effective Immediately...AssureSign can be used for service forms.

Key Tips:
  • Please follow the AssureSign Process steps (an updated job aid is available on Agent Resources).

  • Service forms need to be completed by the agent PRIOR to sending to the member/owner for signature. (Sending blank or partially completed forms via AssureSign will not be accepted). Member Services is not sending forms out via AssureSign at this time. However, this may be a change we look into for the future.

  • The security documents, Electronic Communication Agreement and the Privacy Notice are to be completed with all AssureSign envelopes.

  • Submit the fully signed forms (service form and security documents) to [email protected].
