SFIC ONLINE BRIEFING FOR FAITH LEADERS

EXPLORING THE NONPROFIT SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM (NSGP)

June 23, 2022

Earlier today, the San Francisco Interfaith Council (SFIC) hosted the 82nd in a series of online briefings for faith leaders. Today's briefing addressed threats to communities of faith and religious institutions and the federal and state funds available through the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) for security upgrades, trainings and the hiring of guards. Featured presenter Rafael Brinner (Jewish Community Federation Director of Community Security) and Respondent Gina Doolan (Northern California Regional Intelligence Center/NCRIC Critical Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert) offered a comprehensive briefing of what the NSGP encompasses, how it can help protect your facility, and what steps are needed to apply for a grant.

The briefing may be viewed in its entirety below:
Also participating were Zoom Briefing Moderator/SFIC Executive Director Michael Pappas, SFIC Board Vice Chair & Episcopal Diocese of California Canon to the Ordinary The Rev. Canon Debra Low-Skinner and SFIC Board Member & St. John Armenian Church Parish Priest Father Mesrop Ash. Special appreciation is extended to SFIC Program/Administrative Associate Cynthia Zamboukos and Enceladus Event Production and Consulting principal Tre Russell Allen.

Please join us on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 8:30 am, when United Way Bay Area 211 Director Clara Margason will present on the 211 Program and how to gain access to critical services in San Francisco and the Greater Bay Area.
A special thanks…
