Dear Friend,

We have launched our 2022 Year-End Campaign. Millions of people around the world give generously to their favorite charities every year and we’ve been thinking of this year’s campaign focus for months. In the end, it was a very simple answer: We want children whose parents divorced or were never married to still have a voice. By educating the public, media, and lawmakers on the importance of shared parenting, we can help grant both parents equal rights, responsibilities, and parenting time – while benefiting children.

But we need your help.

This year, we’re bringing attention to a statistic many Americans don’t know about: according to recurring CDC data, fathers are granted custody only 20.1 percent of the time and more than 25% of fathers live apart from their children. That leaves millions of children without equal time with their father.

Virtually every major social pathology has been linked to fatherless children: violent crime, drug and alcohol abuse, truancy, unwed pregnancies, psychological disorders, and even suicide.

When children grow up without a father figure in the home, they are twice as likely to become poor, to experience educational, health, emotional, and behavioral problems, to experience child abuse, and engage in criminal activity.

24 million children in America—one out of three—live without their biological father in the home. 40% of the children living in fatherless homes haven’t seen their father in over a year, and 26% of absent fathers live in different states than their children.

We can do better – children need, want, and deserve to have both parents in their lives.

Can we count on you to help us raise money to advocate for children?

All funds raised today will go towards educating the public and policymakers about the critical changes needed in the family court system so that children’s best interests can be supported.

Your dollars will help us to create awareness and educate policymakers on the importance of equal shared parenting. This is why Family Reunion exists - to reunite children with BOTH parents.

Sincerely,

The Family Reunion Team
