EMT-B at Pocahontas County High School
We are excited to have 12 students at Pocahontas County High School who will be dual credit, enrolled as PMED100 students. Instructors will go to the high school every Wednesday for their lab. This is a pilot for our high school program that we are seeking to grow. We will also be doing an extended class at Braxton EMS for at least 6 employees there through workforce education.

Carlene Carter will rock the house at the Chuck Mathena Center
Carlene Carter has been releasing music for almost four decades in both rock and country. The daughter of June Carter Cash and country star Carl Smith, and stepdaughter of Johnny Cash, she is the physical embodiment of the Carter Family in the 21st century. She is no novice to creating great classic country music. With her exceptional voice and amazing songwriting, this concert is not one you want to miss out on.
Her most recently album release was Carter Girl, a Don Was-produced collection of Carter Family songs and originals, inspired by her family. Carlene spent the better part of the last few years on the road with John Mellencamp on his Plain Spoken tour, both as a support act and joining him on stage nightly to perform duets. She also played a role in the touring production of Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, the southern gothic musical play written by Stephen King and Mellencamp. Upcoming is the release of Sad Clowns and Hillbillies, the 2017 album by John Mellencamp featuring Carlene Carter and includes newly penned songs by Carlene.
