"It was an honor (and a little fun, too!) to meet Brandan Whitworth and thank him in person for the $64 million that Anheuser-Busch is investing in its Van Nuys brewery. It will result in better production, more jobs, and the largest solar installation at any US Brewery!"

VICA delegation meeting with Assemblymember Tim Grayson
This week, during VICA's Advocacy Day members had the privilege to meet with some of California’s most prominent elected officials. The VICA delegation discussed important issues covering homelessness, broadband service, and the effects the bills would have on California business pandemic relief. Overall, VICA had a very successful Advocacy Day, garnering both the desired support and opposition from the elected officials along with bolstering beneficial connections in Sacramento. VICA met with the Offices of Assemblymembers' Christopher Ward, Adam Gray, Cristina Garcia; and with the Offices of Senators' Connie Leyva and Dr. Richard Pan. VICA also met with Assemblymembers Suzette Valladares and Timothy Grayson.
Thank you to the elected officials, and to the members who joined us! If you weren't able to join VICA's Advocacy Day in June, click the links below to send letters to legislators on the important Bills and issues impacting the San Fernando Valley and our business community:

VICA's After Dark - Back to Work Event
This week, VICA hosted its first live in-person event since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic. VICA's After Dark was hosted at the Los Angeles Marriott, Burbank Airport. Attendees enjoyed hors d'oeuvres poolside in their best Hawaiian attire! Our After Dark event gave members and elected officials the opportunity to catch up, meet new business partners, and network. This was our first live in-person event since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Attendees got the chance to win an array of raffle prizes, some of which included Southwest tickets, Amazon gift cards, gift baskets, and many more. Our VICA After Dark was presented by Los Angeles Marriott, Burbank Airport, Gaspar Insurance Services, and Woodbury University and co-sponsored by Independent Professionals Association, Tierra del Sol Foundation & WSP USA.
Some of the most notable attendees included Congressman Mike Garcia and LA City Councilmembers Nithya Raman, Paul Koretz, and Kevin de Leon. Much of the discussion involved reintegration back to the work place and key issues taking place in our region today. Thank you to all those that attended!
