Drexel Ranked Among World’s Best in Materials Science
In the 2022 US News and World Report Global Universities rankings, Drexel is ranked #39 in the world in the category of Materials Science. The ranking places our programs at #13 out of all US universities. Drexel also ranked highly in Nanoscience (#40 worldwide, #9 in US) and Physical Chemistry (#35 worldwide, #8 in US), both core competencies of materials scientists.

A significant influence in these rankings is the impact of published research on peers. Drexel researchers were cited more than any other collection of experts in the world in the fields of Materials Science, Nano and Physical Chemistry, with more publications among the top 1% than any other institution.
