The Town of Bennett is growing but that doesn’t change the fact that our existing businesses are the foundation of our local economy. One integral piece of the Town’s business retention endeavors has been Lynette White stepping into a new role as Economic Development Coordinator.
White has lived and worked in Bennett for over 15 years. Her experience and connection to the Town brings a unique touch that is important for supporting the business community.
“Lynette is on a first name basis with most, if not all the businesses in Town,” said Planning and Economic Development Manager, Steve Hebert, “she has played a critical role in supporting our businesses during the uncertain times of the pandemic, always checking in with businesses and making sure they had all the information they needed through many changes in the past year.”
Throughout 2020, White worked closely with Tri-County Health Department and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, serving as a liaison to the businesses to ensure their needs were met and they had the information and tools to adapt to the COVID-19 protocols and restrictions.
“It was a goal and focus for the Town to ensure businesses felt heard and understood this past year, and no one was a better advocate and voice than Lynette,” said Town Administrator, Trish Stiles.
White also was a key piece of putting together the Bennett Stronger Together program, where the Town was able to provide additional support to local businesses to overcome economic hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the process of recovery will take time, the Town of Bennett is grateful for Economic Development Coordinator, Lynette White, and her hard work and dedication to the Bennett Business Community.
