Lincoln County Television & Media Center is non-profit, public access, community media for and about the citizens of Lincoln County, Maine

LCTV News July 6, 2022

Hello Claire,

Welcome back to LCTV News. Last week we were down at the Windjammer Days Festival in Boothbay Harbor, hobnobbing with Captain "Bloody Spike" Pierce of the Must Rose. We'll have a show for you about it next week. Let us know if you saw our crew, and next time please come over and say hi.

This Friday, we're filming an extraordinary Community Conversations show with Dr. Andrew Mueller, CEO of MaineHealth; Cindy Wade, President of LincolnHealth; and host Marva Nesbit. This show will be shared with every Community Media station in Maine as a public service. Just another way your LCTV support has a big impact.

Thanks again to all of you who came out for our Memphis Lightning concert last week. We had a great time. Please be sure to visit our Sponsors who made it possible and thank them for supporting your Community Media station: LincolnHealth, Ames True Value Hardware, Renys, Morse's Sauerkraut, Colby & Gale, Bangor Savings Bank, Elevation Station, Cod Cove Inn, and Mid-Coast Energy Systems.

We're cooking up some plans for more music shows...what would you like to see?

Big news on Main St. in Damariscotta: WALTZ SODA FOUNTAIN is back! (Thanks to their Facebook for this photo.) We'll be there for the Grand Re-Opening tomorrow with an on-location, special edition of the Wuzzup News Show.

We're pleasure to bring you the season-opener for Skidompha Library's Chats with Champions series, featuring Farnsy author William Anthony. The new novel features Waltz Soda Foundation as a key locale. Pick up your copy at Sherman's Maine Coast Book Shop. We'll air the show Saturday night at 7pm.

Have you watched our weekly Racing from Wiscasset Speedway show? It's worth a look! And there's no better Friday night, family-friendly place to be than at Maine's Fastest Track.

We always want to hear your ideas for your Community Media station. Please give us a call at 563-6338, send an email, or stop by the station at 29 Sheepscot Rd in Newcastle.

Thanks for watching,

Larry Sidelinger

LCTV Board President
