Watch the March 20 Board of Education Work Session on Facilities Planning

The Monday, March 20, Board of Education Work Session addressed long-term facilities planning. We encourage families and staff to watch the recording of the discussion here. Based on the Board of Education’s consensus and direction, the District will focus on the following facilities plan. The plan would be segmented into two separate ballot issues, with the first segment appearing on the November 2023 ballot. Please note, the order of the buildings within each segment does not necessarily indicate the order of construction. 


  • Segment 1
  • Renovate Ludlow to accommodate expanded PreK program
  • Renovate and expand Woodbury as a Middle Years Building (Grades 6-8)
  • Renovate Boulevard, Lomond, Mercer and Onaway and convert elementary school buildings to include Grade 5
  • Build addition to Fernway to accommodate Grade 5


  • Segment 2
  • Build new High School near current campus site


  • Additional Direction from the Board
  • Explore the possibility of seeking an additional operating levy in November 2023 to help pay for expanded PreK operating costs
  • Advertise for an architect to begin planning for Ludlow renovation


Discussions will continue in the coming months with a projected Board of Education vote on a master facilities plan in June of 2023.
