Dear Community,
I am writing to provide you with an update on the day in our schools. Staff greeted students at arrival, and teams of social workers, psychologists, and school counselors were in hallways and classrooms. Our high school made an announcement for students and staff, held a moment of silence, and made resource rooms available for students and staff. Similar activities took place at our middle schools. At the elementary schools, our principals met with staff.
Outside our schools, the New Rochelle Police were a visible presence. Our schools are safe places filled with caring and supportive adults who are committed to educating and supporting our students. Please reach out to your building principal if your child needs specific support. You can find a resource here for help in talking with your child.
