The Chattahoochee Handweavers Guild (CHG) is dedicated to fostering and supporting weaving and other fiber related arts. They offer beginning & intermediate classes, workshops, study groups, and program meetings. In the community you will find them at local festivals, events, and at their biennial exhibits.

Squirrel Built a Drey by Valerie Hill, a Square Foot Fiber Art Pin Up Show 2023 winning entry. Materials include chicken wire, twigs, thrifted fibers from felted wool sweaters, cotton shirts, bits of damaged vintage needlepoint and vintage fabric pieces, needlepoint stitching wool, embroidery floss, felted wool fabric, hand knitted wool/synthetic distressed swatches, and a hand-knitted stuffed squirrel. Techniques include armature construction, knitting, needlepoint, embroidery, felting some of the materials used, hand stitching layers.
