Advocacy and Issues Forum – Minnesota Taxation Changes and Proposals
Join us April 6 to hear about what is being proposed and what has already passed this Legislative Session regarding both tax increases and reductions from three experts in this field. This is your chance to hear about the potential changes coming as well as ask your burning questions. We will hear from Mark Haveman (Executive Director, Minnesota Center for Fiscal Excellence), John Reynolds (Minnesota State Director, National Federation of Independent Businesses), and Nan Madden (Director of the Minnesota Budget Project).
This forum will cover the budget surplus, the Governor's budget and its impacts on taxes, issues that may result in raised taxes including Capital Gains Tax changes, 24-week paid leave mandate and 5th Tier Income Tax, and where we currently are in the Legislative Cycle.
