Dear Lovejoy Leopards,

I hope you and your children had a safe and enjoyable summer. We are looking forward to welcoming all of our Leopards back to school on Monday, August 16. As we embark on a new school year, I am filled with gratitude and excitement. Our students will accomplish great things and, together, we will build upon our legacy of excellence. The opportunities we will have as a Lovejoy ISD family this school year are truly precious.

While we are excited and hopeful about the beginning of the school year, it is important that we work together for the health and safety of students and staff. Parents, we need your help to start the school year strong by checking your child for symptoms of illness before school each day. If they are starting to show symptoms, please keep them home. When you contact the school, they will provide academic support. Please review our most current health and safety measures here.

As we prepare for our students to return to school, please remember to use extra caution when dropping off and picking up your children from school. Our school zones are typically crowded during drop-off and pick-up times, but the first few weeks of school are especially congested.

Our Principals and transportation staff have worked tirelessly to plan safe and efficient drop-off and pick-up procedures. Please be patient in our school zones and allow extra time for safety. Reviewing school traffic procedures prior to the first day of school will make a positive difference for everyone.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve your children and for your tremendous support of our schools.

Lovejoy Proud,

Katie Kordel
Superintendent of Schools

2021-2022 Transportation Services
The safe transport of our students to and from school is the primary focus of our transportation team when planning routes for the 2021-2022 school year. Additionally, route development includes consideration of start time of routes, length of routes, number of students on routes and the timely arrival of students at their campuses. While door-to-door pick up is not an option for every family, please know the transportation team is focused on safety and customer service.
