CWNY news & updates
November 2021
Hello CWNY Members and Friends,

We would like to share some exciting upcoming events with you! Read through our newsletter for details.

It was an honor to participate in the Halloween Family Evening at Fort Totten hosted by Council Member Paul Vallone. We had a great time serving the community!

Thank you to all who attended the CWNY annual meeting and elections. Please join us in welcoming Argie Agelarakis and Lara Collura to our Board of Directors

Our next Career Series workshop will be about Human Rights Law and Disability on Thursday, December 2nd at 12 PM.

Please note that due to the holidays, there won't be a Financial Literacy workshop in December. We will return on Wednesday, January 19th at 8 PM with a Preview of 2021 Income Tax Returns - Including the Advance Child Tax Credit.

GIVING TUESDAY, the Global Day of Giving, is next Tuesday, November 30th and we’re humbly asking for your support. To help us reach our goal of $6,000, go to https://CWNYgiving2021.givesmart.com. Your generosity is essential and very much appreciated.

Artists Against Violence will host a fundraising event with a variety show combining comedy, music, art, food, and fun, with all proceeds benefiting the Center for the Women of New York and Safe Horizon. The event will be on Sunday, December 5th from 3 to 5 PM in person at Q.E.D. Astoria,
27-16 23rd Avenue, Astoria, NY 11102. If you cannot attend in person, you can also join virtually. For more information and tickets, go to https://www.artistsagainstviolence.net/

CWNY would like to wish you and your loved ones a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!

Thank you for your continued support!

With gratitude,
