Abortion is Health Care

Read a statement from our Board of Directors regarding the recent Dobbs v. Jackson Supreme Court ruling on abortion care.

"We are doctors, health leaders, and community professionals who have dedicated our lives to health equity, many of us identify as women, and almost all of us have experienced the dangers of unequal health care access either in our personal or professional lives."

Meet Stephanie Gomez-Fregoso, Community Health Worker Supervisor

Please join us in welcoming Stephanie to the team! As Supervisor, Stephanie will lead a team of seven Community Health Workers (CHWs) plus two additional CHWs to be added in the coming year. Project Access NOW is increasing its CHW workforce to increase access to its services and support clients as they navigate the health care system.

Said Stephanie, "I see my work as an opportunity to grow personally and professionally and, most importantly, as an opportunity to give back to the community. I will never forget my roots, my beginnings, my childhood, and the people who believed in me. Without my own life experiences, I wouldn't have the passion I now have to advocate and be the voice for all those who aren't listened too. I am excited to bring my experience to PANOW and lead an amazing team of Community Health Workers serving the community.
