You want it when?
The news is full of stories of shortages: oxygen in India, semiconductor chips in China, and cardboard here in the states. The cost of lumber has tripled and raw material prices are soaring. Now, those global supply chain issues are reaching the printing industry — even here in Des Moines.

While we've always prided ourselves on being able to complete your jobs very quickly, current disruptions are challenging our abilities to meet traditional turn-around times. Worse, when we can get materials, they're often as much as 6% more expensive than they were just three months ago.

Read on to learn how much lead-time your upcoming project may require.
Materials are in short supply.
Plan ahead and provide advanced notice when possible.
Don't get stung by material shortages. Plan for delays and increased costs.
Whether it's due to understaffed trucking resources, the refinery shut downs during the Texas snowstorms, the east coast pipeline hack, or the temporary closure of the Suez Canal, material supply is simply not meeting current demand. Beeline is fully staffed and working overtime to meet your printing needs, but with the material restrictions, we appreciate it when you can give us longer lead times and flexible deadlines.

Everything seems to be on back order these days...

Acrylic (and all plastics). Can be as much as three weeks delay for special orders

Banner and cut vinyl. We have supply on hand, but new materials are ten days to two weeks out

Specialty paper and card stock. Two weeks out, but can be three for some stock

Printer repair parts. It depends on the part and the age of the model but some parts are a month out or more. It's another reason why some of our clients are proactively replacing old units now. Logic boards or other "computing" hardware is especially difficult to source.

With the pandemic finally easing, we're buzzing with projects to help you gather together and get back to business. Although we are constantly looking for new suppliers who may have more inventory on hand, most are having the same supply-chain difficulties. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with our vendors to keep commonly requested materials on hand.
Leasing options are still great!
Compared to old models, new printers are far less expensive to maintain.

This is a great time to purchase a new printer. Interest rates are very low (as low as 0% on some models) and with lower maintenance costs a new printer can pay for itself in a few years.
