HELP SAVE AND PROTECT DEMOCRACY

PEN Workshop: Fighting Disinformation

Virtual, Sept. 5, 6-7pm

As we move closer to the 2024 presidential election, and with the rapid expansion of tools such as generative AI, the threat that false information poses to communities is greater than ever before. You have a role to play in building your community’s resilience. This free workshop, September 5 from 6-7 pm ET, will help empower you to be an effective messenger in your own community. In one hour you can gain even greater awareness.

September 15 is International Day of Democracy

International Day of Democracy was created by the United Nations General Assembly in 2007 to promote and uphold the principles of democracy. “A universal value based on the freely-expressed will of people to determine their own political, economic, social and cultural systems, and their full participation in all aspects of life.”

Celebrate it by making sure you haven't been purged from the polls. To check your voting status, go to your county Supervisor of Election site or vote.gov. Remember: The National Motor Voter Act says you can’t be removed from the voter rolls closer than 90 days from the election. Check out the "links" above in blue!

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

We will coordinate a Florida network of social justice advocates dedicated to saving and preserving democracy by helping link individuals and organizations to achieve shared goals, create connections throughout a wide community, and speak with a louder voice.
