GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Monday, May 31, 2021) – The Ouija Board was also scheduled for the turf, but had to be transferred to to the sloppy main track. And as it happened, odds on favorite Laura's Light didn't mind the sloppy going at all.
Owned by Gary Barber and trained by Peter Miller, Laura's Light ($3.80) stalked the pace comfortably, finally taking the lead exiting the far turn and drew off to win by four and three-quarter lengths. Florent Geroux was aboard for the victory over Raven's Cry (IRE). It was another six lengths back to third placed Curlin's Journey. Summer in Saratoga and Gold Included completed the order of finish.
Fractions were 24.14, 47.47, 1:11.78 and 1:24.57. Final time was 1:38.07.
This was the seventh win for the multiple graded stakes winning filly by Constitution out of Light of a Star, by Muqtarib. Her career earnings are now $471,770.
