President’s Note
What a great time we had at the TMTA Trustees Teacher Enrichment Conference this past weekend. Thanks to the hospitality and beautiful facilities at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor we were treated to the inspiring words of Martha Hilley and were able to carefully and safely meet for a live program. Tremendous thanks go to TMTA Trustees Janelle Schlaudt, Andrea Warren, and Courtney Crappell as well as Jonathan Gary, Chair of the Music Department. Check out the pictures below.
Our TMTA Executive Board will be meeting on Saturday, August 21. Now is the time to let us know any thoughts you have about the programs we provide for you and your students. You can find our contact information at the bottom of this newsletter or on the TMTA Website. We want to hear from YOU!
As we begin transitioning back to more live events, we still need to pay heed to safety precautions that have proven to be effective at preventing the spread of this virus. Your local association and your own studio will make its plans according to the locality and the medical situation in your community. Only you know what you are comfortable doing. I know we are all looking forward to holding more events live as we work together to get this current health situation under control. Plans are being made for a tremendous and exciting convention in Dallas next summer to celebrate the return of this much missed culmination of our teaching year. Make your plans now to join us for this special version of our TMTA Convention on June 16-19, 2022.
Always In Tune with TMTA
Dr. Roy Wylie, NCTM
