San Joaquin River

San Joaquin River's source is located in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, in the south-central Sierra Nevada. The Middle Fork rises from Thousand Island Lake at almost 10,000 feet above sea level. Along its 366-mile journey, it is joined by the Merced, Tuolumne, Stanislaus, Calaveras, Mokelumme, and Sacramento before flowing through the SF Bay and into the Pacific.
