Congratulations to Our 2021 Competition Participants & Winning Teams!
|
|
More than 200 high schoolers across 36 teams fiercely pitched their business plans to live panels of judges who acted as venture capital investors deciding on which businesses they would most likely fund at the 17th annual High School Entrepreneurs' Business Plan Competition. Eleven of those teams took home cash prizes ranging from $250.00 - $2000.00, while hundreds of teens came away with life and professional skills that will benefit them through college and career.

Overall Winner
Winning $2,000
Congratulations to Priya Agarwal whose business ShiftLocal won first place in the Services Category, and whose overall score in the Finals Event advanced her to the coveted
Overall Winner for a total award of $2,000!

ShiftLocal
Westridge School for Girls
Services
"I was really shocked and honestly, excited about the win, because ShiftLocal is a project I’ve put so many hours and work into, and it’s become something I’m truly passionate about. All in all, just the experience of competing and answering questions and getting to present my idea to a panel of experienced business professionals was really fun and exhilarating. To me, the win really gave me more confidence in my idea. Before this competition, all it really was was my idea, but I think winning has really made me believe I can take it to the next level. Also, I really enjoyed seeing other people’s ideas, as they came up with creative start-ups I never would have thought of, so it was really inspiring." - Priya Agarwal
