PTO News

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Drydock Fundraiser a successful event. Whether you volunteered your time to sell drinks, sell raffle tickets, help with set up, provided entertainment, donated to raffle prizes, or came out to support the event, we could not have done it without you. 


Special Thanks to our Raffle Prize Donors: Hoffman’s Power Equipment, Attractions Salon of Downtown Bay City, Barb Schick of Alpaca Adventures of Mid-Michigan, Brittany O’Loughlin of ModishClay Company, Berkshire Hathaway Matt Hechlik Group, and Beech Hollow Golf Course.

Picture Day

Picture day for ALL students (Preschoolers – 8th Grade) and staff is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1. Pictures will start at 8 a.m. Order forms are going home with students today!

For preschool parents: if your child is not normally here on Tuesday, please still bring them in for pictures between 8:00-8:45 a.m. Retakes are scheduled for December 13th.

Special Dress Day

Attention College Football Fans

In anticipation of the Michigan vs. MSU football game, students are invited to wear their maize & blue or green & white to school on Thursday, October 27 to cheer for their favorite team on Saturday.

Not a Michigan or MSU fan? Any college apparel will do!

Valley Lutheran Information Night

7th & 8th Grade Parents – Valley Lutheran Information Night


Valley Lutheran invites current 7th and 8th graders and their parents to our Fall Information Night, a station-based, one-hour, on-the-move opportunity to experience Valley Lutheran! Hear how Valley is a place students prepare, belong, and excel! Arrivals begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 24 with the last tour beginning at 7:00 p.m. Please let us know you're coming and choose your arrival time at www.vlhs.com/InfoNight.

Valley Band Extravaganza for 5-8th Grade Band Members

On Friday, October 28, from 12:30-1:45 pm, Valley Lutheran High School will host a Band Extravaganza for all band students grades 5-8. Students should bring their instrument and wear a St. Paul shirt.

Scholastic Book Fair - Save the Date!

October 24th-28th - Scholastic Book Fair

It’s Book Fair time! St. Paul staff and students will shop during class. Watch for a “Wish List” to come home after your student visits the Book Fair. Friends and family can shop at dismissal on Thursday, Oct. 27th and during VIP Day on Friday, Oct. 28th.

 

Ways to help and stay connected:

·        Support in-person shopping by sending money in with your student. (CASH or CHECK made out to St. Paul.) In-person sales earn 50% for our school.

 

·        Share the online shopping link with friends and family. Online sales earn 25%. www.scholastic.com/bf/stpaulbaycity

 

·        Join our Facebook event (on the school Facebook page) to see Class Wish Lists, book info, fair photos, and more.

Almost Time for Trunk-or-Treat

Join us Friday, October 28th from 6-7pm, at the school parking lot and playground for trick-or-treating! Come host a treat trunk and enjoy the buzz of costumed kid excitement while hanging out with some of your favorite people! The event will be all outdoors again this year. Light snacks and drinks will be available. *Raindate: Saturday, Oct 29th, 1-2pm.

Reminder: New or Gently Used Shoes Wanted!

The Poland & Alaska Mission trips will be collecting new & gently used shoes over the next few months as a fundraiser for the trips. These shoes are then used to help 3rd world countries establish sustainable business. There will be a tote at the side of the gym entrance. Please tie the laces together or buckle the shoes together (rubber bands will also be available to attach shoe pairs).

They will be collecting until December 4th.
