Greetings!

While March may be coming in like a lion for many, we're here to help it go out like a lamb with this issue of marlo monthly. From a fancy way to celebrate SPD to a couple of new adult libations to sip by the fire when the weather inevitably regresses as spring fights its way forward, we're definitely in winter's home stretch. So let's do our best to enjoy whatever snowfall remains and hey, glass half full: we can still indulge in a plate of baked goods paired with whiskey without worrying about bathing suit season just yet!
cocorico
This Saint Patrick's Day don't make pour decisions (we're looking at you, green beer!). Instead, be the life of the paddy by showing up with decadent desserts from Boston's most innovative boulangerie, Cocorico, a convenient hop, skip & jump from where the magic happens in Southie.

Complete with Bailey's French macarons, rainbow and shamrock-shaped shortbread cookies, shamrock whoopie pies and Bailey's brownie bites, Cocorico's St. Patrick's Day Pastry Box is the perfect host gift for any SPD party (or, alternatively, a nourishing accompaniment to all those pints of Guinness sure to be pulled this month!). Prefer a quiet celebration over corned beef and cookies? Well, the luck of the Irish is really on your side as all of the treats will be sold individually as well. However you choose to show your green pride, just make sure you stop by anytime between March 10-17 to get in on the shamrockin' pastry fun!

artifact cider project
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade (hey, if it works for Beyon!). But when life gives you apples, you go even harder by making crisp, refreshing, and oh-so juicy guava and mango ciders.

Introducing the limited-edition Juhu Beach Guava Cider and Jalsa Alphonso Mango Cider, the two latest collaborations from award-winning craft hard cider brand Artifact Cider Project. Craving something a little sweet and sour? Sip on Juhu Beach, inspired by Mumbai's iconic street food snack of ripe guava sprinkled with the mouth-puckering spice Chaat Masala (insider tip: try rimming a pint glass with a little CM before pouring and enjoying).

Mango more your mojo? Meet Jalsa, crafted with puree from the renowned mango variety of Gujarat, India. Meaning "celebration" in Hindi, this cider is perfect for toasting whatever the occasion -- even if the occasion is you on your couch binging 'The Last of Us.' With delish sips like these we're confident you're going to like them apples!

bully boy distillers
Whether it's with their ready-to-drink Manhattan, popular bottled Old Fashioned, or flagship American Straight Whiskey, Boston's first craft distillery Bully Boy Distillers likes to live on the edge with a little whiskey business. And while folks can find these fan-fave bottles on shelves and online all year long, Bully Boy has long tinkered with different grains, strains, and proofs, with the goal of crafting imaginative, well-executed bourbons never before released.

Enter the Experimental Series -- a collection of limited-release single barrel bourbons repping our boys' journey towards its two flagship expressions expected to launch in 2024. (Don't tell us we never give you something to look forward to!). Until then, each release will be exclusively available for pick-up at the distillery to give fans a behind-the-scenes taste of all the neat stuff head distiller Dave and the team have been working on.

Fair warning: each release sells out fast and furious so be sure to get to 44 Cedric Street in Boston early on launch days. Missed the latest drop? Keep an eye out for the third installment this spring. Hint hint: April showers call for happy hours 😉
