This summer, Globalize DC will offer free week-long online programs designed to introduce DC students to Japanese language and culture. Each program will be 5 days long, scheduled from Mon-Fri, 4-6 pm. The two topics for this summer’s programs are: “Itadakimasu: Cool Japanese Food” and “A Day in the Life of Japanese Teens.” This program is for current 7th, 8th, and 9th graders attending either a DCPS or DC charter school. We are seeking students with a curiosity about Japan, who have not yet had formal exposure to the language. We are particularly interested in reaching students who live or go to school in Wards 5, 7, and 8.
