NEW MEMBER: VIVIENNE VARAY
What's something hardly anyone knows about your work, or about you as an artist?
I find inspiration from my materials, and rarely plan a piece from start to finish. I work intuitively and emotionally until the piece feels right.

RENEWING MEMBER: CRANBROOK ACADEMY OF ART
Tell us about the artist in this image.
“Zahra Almajidi graduated from Cranbrook this year with the director’s award,” says Cranbrook professor Iris Eichenberg. Her work holds the tension of being and the confusing process of becoming, rather than feeding into the need of clichés and simple answers. Follow her and her conversation, as she will be a voice for the field and a generation.”

I love how AJF links the world of makers together so we can all see what everyone is up to.
