Here are some highlights of the Board’s October meeting deliberations and actions:
We continued to discuss the work that is being done on preparing the 2023 budget, including positive news regarding a tax credit and possible fundraising efforts.
Heidi Ruehle from Unity Temple Restoration Foundation provided an update on repairs for the water/sewage event that occurred in July. Bathrooms are now functioning but still need to be cleaned. Work overall should be done in about two weeks and the cost is close to what is being covered by insurance.
Heide Ruehle also discussed UTRF’s developing plans to take on more responsibility regarding the management and operations of our building.
We approved the nomination of Elizabeth Scanlon as a new member of the Properties Committee and also approved board member Ed McDevitt joining the Properties Committee.
We reported that we had completed our ministerial reviews of Rev. Cooley and Rev. Gage, which includes setting goals for the coming year.
We began making plans for the annual meeting in December, which we plan to hold virtually.
