A Message from Mayor Susan Shin Angulo
Dear Neighbor:

As October marks the start of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I want to encourage everyone to take time this month to learn about breast cancer risks, prevention strategies and recommended screenings. This is especially important this year, as the pandemic caused many to postpone regular appointments, making it more difficult to detect breast cancer at its earliest stages. For more resources and information, visit the National Breast Cancer Foundation's website by clicking here.

I also want to highlight that the Township's Rental and Mortgage Housing Assistance Program is ready and open for new applications. We saw such a high demand for the program when it was first rolled out in May with about $600,000 in funding from federal Covid-19 relief funding, Township Council and I directed $675,000 in new funding from the Township's American Rescue Plan Act funding to replenish the program.

As this pandemic continues to disrupt so many of our neighbors lives, please spread the word about this program. More information can be found at CHNJ.gov/COVIDHousingAssistance and in the information provided below.

Sincerely,

Susan Shin Angulo
