Does your company stand behind our military? Do you hire military members, family members of the military? Do you or your employees help prepare our men and women in uniform, or veterans for the workplace? Do you help get the word out in the community about the benefits of hiring the men and women who have stood up to defend our country? If so, this award is for you.

The Warrior Friendly Business Award honors businesses’ efforts to support service members, veterans, and their family members through workplace initiatives. The award is given to one small and one large business. The deadline to apply is December 15.

Help Your Employees Learn New Skills
Delaware small business owners can help their employees learn new skills under the Elevate Delaware program, launched recently by the Delaware Department of Labor. The program will pay up to $10,000 for enrollment in approved non-credit certificate programs for employees to improve their skills. Workers at Delaware small businesses that employ fewer than 51 people are eligible for this new program. Get started >
