Neighborhoods hosting celebrations are encouraged to register their National Night Out event by July 14 at www.folsom.ca.us/police. For more information or to request an application, contact Police Volunteer Coordinator Jessica Hess at 916-461-6516 or jhess@folsom.ca.us.

Lawn Care Workshop: Learn the Secrets of a Healthy Lawn
Join the City of Folsom Water Conservation Division for a free workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 at the Folsom Community Center, 52 Natoma Street. The session will be presented by Don Smith, Water Conservation Coordinator for the City of Folsom and a former landscape contractor.

Conditions in Folsom including hot and dry weather, rocky clay soils, and sloped terrain can make lawn care a challenging endeavor. In this workshop, we’ll cover the lawn care basics of watering, feeding, and maintenance. If you are interested in a change, we can suggest user-friendly alternatives to traditional turf.

Workshop space is limited; call 916-461-6177 or email waterconservation@folsom.ca.us to reserve your seat.
