No School Monday, Sept. 27
We have a professional development day on the calendar for our staff. See you back here on Tuesday and have a great, long weekend!

Picture Day is next week: THURSDAY, Sept. 30th
Please clink on the flyer below to read instructions for ordering student photos. No Cash Money will be accepted and ALL ORDERS will be done online. An email will be sent directly from Jostens to each student family to set up a picture day account. Please click on the flyer below for more information.

Mask Reminder:
Everyone entering school must be wearing a mask. It is everyone’s goal to stay in school together all year. To help us in this effort, it is important for all students to arrive at school each day with two (2) WELL-FITTING masks.

Student Absences and Illness/COVID Reporting Form:
Please report all student absences to the Countryside Attendance line at 952-848-4702 or online through the parent portal. If you choose to call the attendance line, please leave a voicemail message with your student's name, date, and reason for the absence. Online absences will be reported directly through the parent portal system to our Edina Public Schools attendance system.
Should you need to report an ill student, please go directly to the Countryside Webpage and click on the link below.

Weekend Meals Available – Every Meal Program:
We are excited to partner with Every Meal to offer a free weekend food program to all students. Every Meal is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to fight child hunger through community and school partnerships. They strive to make a difference in children’s lives by focusing on food gaps like weekends, school breaks, and summer when they can’t receive food in school.
·        Free for all families
·        No qualifications required for enrollment
·        Students enrolled in the program will receive a 4-5 pound bag of nutritious, non-perishable food each week
·        Every Meal does not collect information from families; privacy is protected
·        Families may choose from a variety of different weekend food bag options
·        Please complete the enrollment form (linked below) or contact Marya Dumke, our Countryside Social Worker at Marya.Dumke@edinaschools.org to enroll your child.

Secrets to Getting the Sleep You and Your Child Need

Audience:  Parents and Professionals

Join Dr. Mary Sheedy Kurcinka, internationally recognized author of Sleepless in America and Raising Your Spirited Child to discover how to:
  • Know if your child or you are suffering from sleep deprivation. (Children often do not tell us they are tired – instead they show us through challenging behaviors.)

  • Identify the daily “little things” that innocently disrupt sound sleep.

  • Establish a practical routine that protects sleep – even in a world that is constantly “on.”

  • Build a community that recognizes the importance of sleep for the health and well-being of all.
