ISSUE NO. 252 / May 13, 2021
With just a few short weeks during the spring off-season to catch our breath and let the peace and quiet calm our spirits, before Summer happens. It’s hard not to think back to this time last year, when the silence was altogether different.

Now, instead of huddling in our homes in a state of uncertainty, baking banana bread, scrubbing hands and groceries and being uneasy interacting with others, many of us are dreaming of travel… to a southern beach or overseas, or most poignantly, to visit family we haven’t seen in over a year… possibly meeting new grandchildren. Those of us sticking around are making
the best of these weird weather patterns. Convertible tops down one day, umbrellas up the next, while conceding that local farmers and our gardens need the generous rainfall. Best of all… COVID case counts are down and many of us are fully vaccinated and eager to welcome a more traditional summertime back to Lake Sunapee area.
It's time for Project Sunapee’s Tri-Annual (plus 1 year) FUNdraising Celebration! You do remember BEATLEMANIA?... aka ‘THE' Party of that summer!
Bluegrass ~ BBQ ~ Libations!

Alas.. Sunapee Cruises’ new boat is still dry docked in Pennsylvania awaiting travel clearance. Visit their website: Where is that boat going?
However, all around us, the natives are stirring… wildlife that is. The Loons have returned to local lakes and ponds. Visit the Loon Preservation Committee website.
Mama fox and her kits are out and about.
Black Bears have been spotted… out of their winter dens and hungrily seeking food. Please put bird feeders away.
LET’S DANCE .. this week away. Evolution of dance video
Apologies for being a day late this week…. like the boat, we had a bit of a traffic/computer jam!
We’ll see you in your inbox, on time, next Wednesday. In the meantime, spend the week cheerfully.  Get up. Get out.… and have some fun!
