Katie's Kids will be hosting our annual Trike-A-Thon on Friday, July 22nd, 2022!
Your child will be sent home with a permission slip as well as a sponsor form.
The donations your child collects will help fund the lifesaving research & treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Leading up to our Trike-A-Thon, our participating classrooms will read "Big Trike Adventure" to learn what it means to have a Trike-A-Thon and how to participate safely.
On the day of...
Please send your child with a helmet from home. If your child would like to bring their own bike to ride, we will have a section of our property designated for personal bikes. If they would like to use a KKLC trike, those will be available as well.
We will have a riding course set up in our parking lot on the day of, so please be cautious during drop off/pick up.
We are so excited for Katie's Kids to help the Kids of St. Jude!

KKLC Trike-A-Thon 2022

Katie's Kids partners with Back 2 School Alliance (B2SA) each year to provide children in our community with school supplies for the upcoming school year.
The coordinator for B2SA will be dropping by on July 5th with a collection box and supply list. This supply drive will be ongoing for a month so spread the word to your friends & family so we can make a BIG difference!
We would be so thankful to our families who are able to participate in donating any school supplies to get them into the hands of the kiddos in need. The need in the community this year is greater than ever and we would love for our family here at Katie's Kids to impact our community in the biggest way!
Getting Healthy...
At Katie's Kids Learning Center, we are committed to providing the best possible nutrition to you and your family. We hope you enjoy the following recipe:
Red, White, and Blue Fruit Skewers
Celebrate the 4th of July weekend with some refreshing Red, White, and Blue Fruit Skewers! You and your kiddos can work together to create different shapes with your fruits. Your little one can strengthen their fine motor skills by stringing them onto the skewers You can also make a tasty dip to have with them by sweetening Greek Yogurt with honey!
Ideas for home...
While enjoying outside adventures at home, if you come across any nature items we could use at Katie's Kids, please bring them in to share!
We are always looking for pine cones, branches, buckeyes, fallen tree branches to make "wood cookies", rocks, leaves, etc...
We do ask to avoid bringing in any tree nuts (acorns, pine nuts, chestnuts, etc.) as we are not able to have them in our center due to allergies.
We use these items as loose parts in infinite ways, such as in our mud kitchen, to create sensory play items, and so much more! Open-ended play with these loose items is such a valuable way to learn about our senses, make observations, and explore various textures. Open-ended play also supports your child's imagination and creativity which allows them to learn while also expressing themselves!
Forms...
Katie's Kids is required to have the following forms updated yearly. If you have not already done so, please complete the following forms and return to the front. These forms are available at the front desk as well.
