Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
Our Friday email will highlight for you what is taking place at Redeemer this coming week. During Lent we center ourselves in worship, prayer, and the study of Scripture. Please come on Sunday morning and/or Wednesday evening for worship services. All are welcome to also participate in the other opportunities we have for your Lenten journey.
Worship this Week
Second Sunday in Lent – March 5
Our worship services are at 8:30 am, 9:45 am, and 11:00 am
For Sunday morning we need an acolyte/crucifer (one person) at the 11 am service. In addition to processing the cross in during the Gathering hymn and processing the cross out during the Sending hymn, at the time of the distribution of Holy Communion the acolyte will offer the bread and wine/grape juice to those who want to take from the preset tray.
For Holy Communion at both of the traditional services, we will continue to kneel or stand at the altar rail. Please stay at the altar rail for as long as you need to make this a prayerful experience for you. In other words you do not need to rush. You can also return to your seats after communion and enter into a time of prayer.
Wednesday Holden Evening Prayer – March 8
Dinner is in Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm and Worship is at 7:30 pm. In worship, Stacey Teitman will reflect on the second of the five gifts of discipleship that we affirm in baptism – to hear the Word of God and share in the Lord’s Supper.
