MARY, WERE THESE YOUR THOUGHTS?

SCRIPTURE: And Mary said: My soul glorifies the Lord and my sirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me — Holy is his name. Luke 1:46-49.

I’m sure we’re all familiar with the song “Mary, Did You Know,” The choir has sung it many times.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?
Mary did you know!

A few years ago, we had an Advent Bible Study and the following was a “hand-out”. I don’t have any idea who thought up the list, but it does make one think if Mary had any of the following questions come to her mind:

 TWENTY-FIVE QUESTIONS FOR MARY

1. What was it like watching him pray?
2. How did he respond when he saw other kids giggling during the service at the synagogue?
