Collagen is one of the most important substances in your body.

It’s the "glue" that helps the body maintain its shape & structure

by binding tissues and cells together.

70% of our skin mass is collagen - it strengthens your skin & create the infrastructure for elastin and hyaluronic acid, which are responsible for skin’s elasticity and hydration.

As you age, your body starts producing less collagen. The skin becomes thinner, drier, and less elastic. The loss of collagen leads to wrinkle formation.

Your body begins to lose collagen when you turn 30. The effects become noticeable after several years. Even though this is a natural process, it’s possible to speed it up with UV exposure, pollution, bad habits, and poor diet choices.

So….what can be done?

SkinPen, the "name"

for Microneedling

C.I.T "Collagen.Induction.Therapy"

better known as microneedling

is a skin enhancing therapy using small needles to create tiny, shallow holes throughout the skin’s surface.

This action stimulates elastin and collagen protein production that has

anti-aging properties and improve skin health and appearance overall.

Microneedling is done for a variety of reasons to reduce fine lines and wrinkles to treating acne scars and stretch marks.

Microneedling is usually done on the face, but it can be performed on any area of the skin you want to repair. People have it done everywhere from the back to the legs to the chest.

Procedures are quick and painless; numbing cream is applied. With the tiny needles gliding over the skin, you may feel a slight tingling or an "electric toothbrush massage" some say slight discomfort but usually no pain ~ well worth the gain!

Everyone’s body reacts differently, so results vary, but many usually

see small improvements within a week!

(mild wrinkle reduction & pore visibility).

After about four to six weeks,

you’ll begin to see

more dramatic changes to your skin.

Results do depend on the severity of your skin issues, so it may take a series of treatments to get the results you want.

"Plasma Rich Platelets"

What does it do?

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma.

Our blood is made of several different substances, including plasma. Plasma contains proteins that are known to promote healing and cell growth.

PRP treatment for the face can be a fantastic solution for fine lines, wrinkles, and other concerns, but it's important understand the procedure when considering treatment.

I'm dedicated to providing my patients with an unmatched level of care, beginning with education! Combined with SkinPen, this is exciting treatment can help you achieve a more youthful, refreshed look.

Here are 5 essential facts about PRP:

1. PRP utilizes your own blood.

PRP therapy requires a blood draw. (1 vial) This blood is then separated, using a centrifuge. By using your own blood, PRP has a low risk of complications.

 2. PRP combined with SkinPen

Using the SkinPen, your PRP is “microneedled” into the face & applied topically, to stimulate cell regeneration, healing & collagen production.

3. PRP encourages collagen production

Aside from simply speeding up the healing process, PRP therapy can actually stimulate the body to produce collagen.

 4. PRP specific target for skin repair

When it comes to your skin specifically, PRP treatment has its own list of benefit:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Large pores
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Acne scars
  • Sun damage
  • Spider veins
  • Dull, tired look overall

 5. PRP treatment decreases downtime

PRP therapy when paired with microneedling, is a quick, pain-free treatment. While skin can be slightly red or sensitive for 24hr after treatment, symptoms are mild & resolve quickly.

Patients often begin to see the results of their PRP treatment after just a few days.

Have your heard about

Red Light Therapy? (RLT)

It has potential to create more youthful, glowing skin, but you may not be aware of all of its health benefits. Red light therapy is a therapeutic technique that uses red low-level wavelengths of light ~ a form of photobiomodulation. (a big fancy word!)

It has many health benefits, including a reduction in pain & inflammation, improvement in skin elasticity, skin health, skin glow, enhanced hair growth,

better sleep, and more energy.

I love red light therapy, use it personally & recommend it to my patients, friends & family!

RLT exposes your body to low wavelength red lights that penetrate deep into your skin.

Unlike ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun RLT is safe! You won’t get a tan or sunburn, but do you receive all the benefits of the red light deep inside on a cellular level.

Research has shown that red light therapy influences mitochondria in the skin cells. They are able to soak up the beneficial light particles to create more ATP energy (cells powerhouse) using this extra energy for rejuvenation & repair. Guess what? This extra energy provides a

"boost of collagen" production in your cells & skin resulting in many positive benefits!

Add "RLT" to your SkinPen or PRP treatment ($40)
