Important Info for Graduates

The E. J. Ourso College of Business Commencement ceremony will be held in the PMAC at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17. Graduate check-in is between 7:15-8:15 a.m. Graduates may not be admitted after 8:15 a.m. Details and information for guests.



Spring graduates have until May 31 to log in to Handshake and complete the survey for a chance to win a $250 Amazon gift card, coordinated by Handshake. This survey helps us measure success in preparing students for life after graduation. Complete the graduating student survey

Let's chat about thank-you notes. Earlier this semester, we told you about common interview mistakes. One thing students forget is to send a follow-up thank you email. After your interview, send the recruiter and/or interviewer a brief email thanking them for their time. That could be what sets you apart from other candidates.

bpx energy 2024 X-perience Event

X-perience is bpx energy’s exploratory trip for current college students. The two-day all-expenses paid trip, to be held August 19-21, provides students from a variety of disciplines the opportunity to visit bpx's Denver headquarters, learn from industry experts, and explore career options. To be considered, you must apply by May 30.

Show Off Your Summer Internship!

Ourso College students will soon set off to internship sites around the country. We want to see what you are up to and share it on our social channels this summer. See footer for listing.


  1. Get a photo of yourself at your internship site. This can be a photo that someone else takes or a selfie.
  2. Email your photo to experienceourso@lsu.edu. Be sure to include a brief message including your name, major, expected graduation year, name of your internship site, and a very brief description of your duties. 
  3. We'll reach out to let you know when you can expect to see your post on our channels. Be sure to share with your friends and family.
