Region 16 at Equine Affaire Massachusetts
The Arabian breed was well represented by members of Region 16 AHA at the Breed Pavilion in the Stroh Building during the Equine Affaire from November 11-14, 2021 in West Springfield, MA.
We are grateful to Andrea Iodice, LillyAnna Kuehl, and Christie Silvia for taking the charge to coordinate with strong support from our youth committee leaders Sloane Roncaioli and Brooke Gemmel. Many hands makes for light work and that was clearly demonstrated here with many more volunteers stepping up to bring horses and work the booth to make this a success. We appreciate each and every person who assisted!
There were as many as ten Arabian and Half-Arabian horses featured in the daily breed demonstration showcasing the versatility, beauty, athleticism, and temperament of our wonderful horses. We are grateful to those who participated and commend all of the horses and riders for putting on a top notch performance in front of large (and noisy!) crowds.
Additionally, each day we had an Arabian horse greeting attendees in a stall adjacent to our booth space. Their bright personalities drew in the crowds and they truly enjoyed the extra love as they interacted with everyone.
Efforts are already underway to plan for the 2022 Equine Affaire in Massachusetts. If you are interested in volunteering in the booth, or bringing a horse for the demonstration, please contact Andrea Iodice of Unity Equestrian at andrea@unityequestrian.net.
