City Operations
The next City Council meeting will be held in person on Monday, December 6. The meetings will also continue to be streamed live at 7:30pm and can also be accessed on the City’s YouTube channel. The agenda can be found on the City's website. You are also welcome to watch the Council Committee of the Whole meeting that will begin at 6:30pm and then proceed directly into the City Council meeting. Please use the same link noted above. Applications Accepted for City Council Vacancy
Cleveland Heights City Council is seeking applications from residents interested in applying for the Council vacancy that will occur in January with Kahlil Seren becoming the City’s first elected mayor. Deadline to apply is Friday, December 17th. To apply please visit www.ClevelandHeights.com/CouncilApplication.

Bulk Pick-Up Week of December 6
Bulk pick-up will occur on your regular collection day the week of December 6. Bulk items are picked up once per month during the first FULL week of each month on your regular trash day; Monday-Friday is defined as a full week. Bulk pick-up is limited to four items per pick-up at no charge. All bulk pick-up items that are fabric must be wrapped in plastic. For additional bulk items, to request collection on any other day, or to request a special collection of loose brush, please use the form online. Cost is $10 per bulk item for a special pick-up.
 
Show Your Cleveland Heights Pride by Buying Cleveland Heights Merchandise for Gifts
You have two options where to purchase Cleveland Heights merchandise (Centennial baseball caps, Centennial coasters, Cleveland Heights mugs, tote bags, and t-shirts while supplies last): at Made Cleveland Pop-Up in Coventry Village (1807 Coventry, formerly City Buddha) and online at https://www.clevelandheights.com/CHMerchandise. They’re all on sale now for the holidays and a portion of every sale goes to the Cleveland Heights Youth Recreation Scholarship Fund. Purchase pick-up for items bought online through the City of Cleveland Heights will be at the main desk of the Community Center.
 
Loose Leaf Collection #3 Planned
A third loose leaf collection (no bagged leaves) began on December 1. Please refer to the online map to see which day is planned for your neighborhood. This final collection is dependent upon the weather, therefore the schedule may vary and may include a Saturday collection.
 
Away-From-Home Security Check
As a service to residents, the Cleveland Heights Police Department can conduct periodic security checks for all residents who will be away from home with no one staying or checking on their home while they’re away. All it takes is filling out the Away-From-Home Request Form (don’t forget to click on “SUBMIT” after completing the form online) or print out the form and mail it to CHPD OIC, 40 Severance Circle, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118.

New Weekday Bus #35 Links to Stokes-Windermere Station
Beginning on Monday, December 13, Bus #35 begins weekday service (every 45 minutes, 7am-6pm) as the third direct link between Cleveland Heights and the Stokes-Windermere Rapid Transit Station, which continues to be a major bus hub and the eastern terminus of the Red Line and the HealthLine. Bus #35 travels on Lee (north of Monticello), Monticello (between Lee and Mayfield), and Mayfield (between Monticello and Severance, via Severance Circle.
