SPRING ACTIVITIES



  • March and April - Our leadership is working with BEST Robotics Inc and all the local hubs to improve the Incision Decision Game concept, rules, and field drawings.
  • Most Monday's 10am - noon - Kit Team meets at our Lakewood Workshop (1075 S Yukon St). No required specific skills. Please email Carolyn.Bauer@bestinc.org to learn more and receive an email with team schedule and plans.


SUMMER ACTIVITIES

  • 11-13 July - Free Teacher - Mentor Institute at St Mary's Catholic Church Littleton (tentative)
  • TBD July - Game Field Cut Day - Denver No specific skills required, with woodworking skills a plus.
  • TBD July - August - Game Field Building - Generally requires woodworking skills and tools.

We are excited about possibly participating in the CACTE CareerTech Summit in July:

Colorado Association for Career and Technical Education (CACTE) is the state professional association for Career and Technical Education. The annual CACTE CareerTech Summit is the premier opportunity for Colorado Career & Technical Educators at all levels to unite for face-to-face (usually, at least!) professional development, networking and fun!

30 September - East High School

We plan to return to Energy Day this year:

Energy Day is Colorado's first FREE family festival showcasing exhibits focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Energy Day will feature exciting exhibits and interactive demonstrations that will teach students and their families about various forms of energy and how through STEM education, they can find an exciting career in the energy industry. Come down and support our local schools, energy experts, and the amazing kids out there looking to learn and develop their skills in STEM education!

Our conference is geared towards anyone interested in science education, including K-12 teachers, college instructors, informal educators, administrators, pre-service teachers, and retired teachers.
