Work continues to progress on the Oakland Road project at multiple locations.
Houston Street
· Curb and gutter work and driveway replacements are complete
· Tops of the storm sewer intakes are being installed now
· If temperatures fall and rain is forecasted in the upcoming weeks, sod will be placed. If not, sod will be placed after August 15.
Miami Court
· Driveway replacements are complete
· Tops of the storm sewer intakes are being installed now
· If temperatures fall and rain is forecasted in the upcoming week, sod will be placed. If not, sod will be placed after August 15.
Oakland Road
· Permanent pavement markings have been installed from Center Street to Miami Court
· Water main installation is complete between Miami Court and Golf Street and along Golf Street from Oakland Road to 42nd Street
· Storm sewer work will begin next week between Miami Court and Golf Street
Traffic Impacts
· Oakland Road is closed to through traffic between Miami Court and Golf Street; residents have access
· Northbound through traffic is encouraged to detour from Oakland Road over to Center Point Road via 32nd Street at the south end
· Southbound through traffic is currently detoured at Golf Street to 42nd Street and then to Center Point Road at the north end
