Food Drive
The Doylestown Food Cupboard is in dire straits. The cupboards are nearly bare. The annual "Empty Bowl" event will not be held this year so we are asking for donations of canned goods to restock the shelves for the holidays. There is a tub outside the church by the doors to deposit canned goods and non-perishables, or items can dropped off in the shed in the Doylestown Methodist Church parking lot.

Lucy Rich will be celebrating her 85th Birthday on September 21. Since we're all social distancing, her son Peter would like to ask Emanuel friends to honor Lucy with a SURPRISE card shower. For her 80th surprise party, after it was over, she was counting cards, and was hoping to get 80, which she did. SO... the goal is to send her 85 cards for her 85th! New Upper Room books are in the tin. Please feel free to take one. If you want to access the Upper Room via the internet, you can do that by signing on to Upper Room website.
Helen has put masks that she has made in the tin for anyone who would like one and plain white masks are available there as well.
