THANK YOU!!

Dear friends in Christ,

In the New Testament letters of Paul, he often begins his letter to the church with thanksgiving. "I thank my God always for you!" is a common refrain that we find in the Pauline letters, and over the past few weeks, I've offered up similar thanksgivings for all of you. You are giving, generous, caring people, and I'm thankful beyond measure to call St. Paul's home.

Since December, my family and I have endured what is probably the most difficult season we've been through as a family. Unpredictable and dangerous flooding at our home coupled with mold growth caused by excess moisture and other issues undetectable to regular home inspections forced us to abandon our home while these issues were being addressed. This is ongoing, and while we have some answers at this point, much remains to be done.

The kids have often asked me in this season "Daddy, why can't we go home?" Sam and I have offered up similar prayers to our heavenly father, and while we aren't at this point able to return to our home, we thank God that we have a church home with all of you here. Through this experience, you've become a caring family to us, and though we endure hardship, having you there to support us has made all the difference in the world.

Last weekend, you gathered collectively as a church to offer up prayers for us. We simply can't thank you enough. Jesus is a strong foundation, and seeing all of you wrap your arms around us in prayer fills our hearts with gratitude and thankfulness, for Christ's love and for the love that you show us through him.

Thank you for your prayers, kind words, financial help, sweet cards, caring thoughts, and your willingness to reach out when we need you most. We are beyond thankful for you.

In Christ,

Pastor Kevin, Sam, Bear, Ellis, and Maeven Scott
