We met at the Armenian Evangelical Brethren Church in Glendale for our PCN area pastors' gathering last month. We were privileged to hear the testimony of Ara Torosian, the Farsi-language pastor at Cornerstone Church in West Los Angeles. Cornerstone is "one church, three languages!" They hold two services in English, one in Spanish and one in Farsi. Pastor Ara is Armenian, was born in Iran, and found Jesus in Iran. He has experienced persecution, house arrest, physical abuse, and more. See him speaking at Biola in 2019. What a tremendous Christian man with a tremendous testimony.

Divine House of Deliverance - Dallas, TX, with Pastor Daniel and Dee Gray, is a church plant in the Dallas, Texas area. They secured a new full-time facility and held their Grand Opening on Palm Sunday. The Grays are very excited about the progress the church is making (see baptism) and the wonderful help that PCN has been.

Passion Church - Palm Springs, with Pastor TJ and Jess McCall, has been meeting every Sunday, and new families are attending. They recently hosted the Coachella Valley Men’s Unity Breakfast, seeing men from different churches come together for worship! Passion Church is planning its official Grand Opening on Mother's Day!

GospelLife Church, Guam, with Pastor Mel and Rachel Hennegan, held its official launch on April 14 in their new meeting location at the Dream Galaxy Arcade, the newest family attraction in town (they are praying to dedicate this new space in the photo). This new church on the island of Guam is doing well. You can watch an update video here.

On Saturday, June 29, all Spanish-speaking men interested in gathering for inspiration, motivation, and food are encouraged to attend. The gathering starts at 1pm and ends at 5 pm, with some great food in the middle of the day. Come ready to hear God's word and mingle with other Jesus-following men.

Yes, you read that correctly, the "Bobbleheads" is a band made up of people from the worship team at First Baptist in Oceanside, which includes their Pastor, Adam Smith. What started out as a time for church connection and fellowship now has people from their community coming out and just hanging out, talking, eating, and enjoying the music. It's a great idea. Pastor Sebastian Petz of the Word Church LA in Montebello can now be heard on KKLA every Sunday @ 2:30pm. What a great opportunity to reach people within the greater LA area. Word Church LA also ministers to its community through its school, Montebello Christian School, K-8th grade. Pastor Petz was called to the Word Church in 2019, and he and his wife, Inna, have three daughters.

Last month, 202 women, representing 12 churches, attended the annual Spanish-language women's breakfast at Calvary Baptist Church in La Puente. It was a fantastic time of fellowship which included a great breakfast, a wonderful time of worship led by Dourly Galvez and the Calvary Baptist worship team, and an inspirational message from May Bolaños of the Agua Viva Church of Santa Barbara, CA. Thank you to the great team that put this together: Pasty Mazariegos, Mali Reguerin, and Ruth Moreno, along with Pastor Noel Hacegaba for hosting!

Love Life is a national organization that wants to motivate churches to participate in a peaceful prayer walk at their local abortion clinic. A group from San Antonio Heights Community Church joined others and prayed this past month in front of the local clinic in Upland. "It makes a difference and only takes a Saturday morning." Love Life is looking for churches to pick one Saturday this year to pray.

Ordination is both a privilege and a responsibility of the local church. However, the actions of the local church in ordination are far‑reaching. They affect churches within our membership and those of "like faith" outside our fellowship.

Pacific Church Network works with our member churches to assist with ordination. Currently, we are coaching three men through the process. Michael Boys, a PCN board member and pastor of Calvary Baptist in Santa Barbara, is coordinating the ordination process. If you have ordination candidates at your church, please contact the PCN office for assistance.
