Volunteer Information Session

Monday, September 19th 

6:30-7:00 PM in the Library 

Do you have a ton of questions about being a volunteer at Rockwell? Are you wondering what’s currently open? Are you wondering how to fit volunteering into your busy schedule? Come for a short Volunteer Info Session where PTA volunteers can answer your questions and help you find a great volunteering fit.  

Send any important questions ahead of time to volunteering@normanrockwellpta.org so we can be sure to answer them. If you decide to sign up as a Recess Wrangler or Room Parent, you can stay for the training after this session. Thank you for sharing your time and talent!!! New and Experienced Wranglers are invited to the training to get instruction and guidance from Mrs. Gallagher. 



Room Parent Training
Monday, September 19th
7:30-8:00 PM in the Library and Virtually on Teams

Please consider being a Room Parent if your child is in one of the following classrooms as these teachers are in need: Gibson, Holmen, Rasmussen, Thome, Thompson/Willie, and Weinmeister. Norman Rockwell Elementary
Friday, September 23rd, 2022
5:30PM - 7:30PM

Please join us for our annual welcome back event! This is a great opportunity to meet your student's new classmates and to connect with other Rockwell families.

Event Details:

  • Entire family is welcome!
  • PTA will be providing FREE dessert for all Rockwell families
  • Purchase dinner at one of the Food Trucks OR bring your own packed dinner and blankets or lawn chairs to sit on

Events for Families of Multilingual Learners (ML)

Wednesday, September 21st
11:00AM - 12:00PM
Please join us for an online teams meeting. The ML teachers will share about the program and there will be a time for questions.

Wednesday, October 12
1:50PM - 2:30PM in room 142
This will be an in-person event. It will be a time to meet other ML families and learn tips for school success. Bring the whole family and we look forward to seeing you!

Annual Beagle Contribution (ABC)
Reminder: Donate before September 30th

Norman Rockwell PTA has one primary fundraiser per year through our Annual Beagle Contribution.

The amount of your support will determine which additional events or programs (such as STEM/STEAM Night and the School Musical) will be funded.  

Thanks so much to those of you who have already donated! We really appreciate your generosity and support. We are just over half way to our deadline of September 30th but only at 26% of our $34,000 goal.

If you'd like to help us achieve full funding by September 30th before e have to adjust our budget and cut programs, the time to act is NOW. We are asking families for a suggested donation of $125 per child.

New Recess Wranglers are encouraged to sign up after the training session on Monday, September 19th at 7:00-7:30pm in the Library. New and Experienced Wranglers are invited to the training. 

Room Parents: Every classroom needs 2-3 Room Parents. Sign up here and mark your calendar for the Room Parent Training on Monday, September 19th at 7:30-8:00pm in the Library. 
 
Art Docents: Every classroom needs 1-3 Art Docents. Sign up here and mark your calendar for the Art Docent Training on Monday, September 23rd at 7:00-7:30pm in the Library.
