With a lot of our volunteers gone for the season we are in need of help with Resurrection House Cooking on Thursday, June 27, July 25 & August 22 at 9:00am. If you are available then please consider helping out for a great cause. We would also like to thank those that helped in May. We were delighted to see new faces and really appreciated the extra hands! Contact the church office with any questions.

Thank you From the Refugee Ministry

The Refugee Ministry would like to thank the SAKLC Foundation for their generous gift to our ministry for rental of a storage unit. We are on track to furnish 42 homes this year. We have in this month alone furnished everything for 7 families apartments. Your gift will help us meet our goal. Thank you

Alternative Worship Task Force Update

"Let's Have a Conversation" Sessions

The Alternative Worship Task Force conducted two “Conversation” sessions to hear our members’ thoughts and preferences for an alternative worship service. Thanks to all who participated.  And special thanks to Rob Kubicki, Marge Jeffers, Kris Soderman and Ann Walborn for facilitating and taking notes. We listened and we learned from all of you. We will now use this feedback to develop our recommendations for Council. Watch for more updates as this work continues.   

Pastor Ken's Weekly Bible Study

Join us this Summer

Join Pr. Ken each weekly as he leads Bible study! These sessions take place on Wednesday mornings from 11:00am-noon both in-person and on zoom.

The class discusses the Scripture texts assigned for the forthcoming Sunday worship services. Each week there is a good mix of lay people and retired pastors, with each group bringing their unique perspectives on life and Scripture – it’s a fun group!

Pr. Ken shares a calendar month of handouts in advance so that participants can look ahead and read the comments of Lutheran scholars prior to each session. Please click the button below to have materials sent to you.

Movement and Gratitude Exercise Class

Name Tags

If you’ve ordered a name tag, they are hanging on the name tag wall outside of the sanctuary. Don’t forget to wear your name tag on Sundays in order to get to know your neighbor! If you still need a name tag, please contact Nina at nina@saklc.com or at 941-388-1234.
