Applications are now open for Jewish athletes interested in representing Team Canada at the 21st Maccabiah Games in July 2022. The Maccabiah Games are an international sports competition, held every four years in Israel. It is one of the top three gatherings of athletes in the world! On June 13, over 30 families attended PJ Library®'s Shakshuka Sunday. We can't think of a better way to share our love of cooking and love of Israel, than by spending a morning together learning to make the quintessential Israeli breakfast food: shakshuka! Noy Peri, our community shilicha from the Jewish Agency for Israel, shared her secrets to making the perfect shakshuka and took us on a virtual tour of Shuk HaCarmel. As an added bonus, we had time to learn how to make borekas and ask questions about her life in Israel.
